Ok, I know, I know .. another canvas right?? I am totally on a roll with them and was determined to finish three to hang in a row on the wall. I'm so glad I did. The whole process .. the letting go of doing everything to a perfect plan or instructions, making a wonderful creative mess, opening up, trying new things that I never thought I could do, getting better at it as you go along .. has been truly wonderful and kind of liberating! I definitely saw the progress as I did each new canvas.
So here is number three. I truly love it the best, I think because I let go and let myself just be me. I wish you could all see them in person. The photos don't do them justice as the colours are much richer and it has a lovely shine to it.
So when I logged in to Jill Conyers website - Life As I See It (Jill is the host of the One Little Word Captured photo challenge that I have been participating in) earlier to link up for the challenge I saw the following quote on her post for this week. It perfectly sums up what I have been going through with this art canvas process and the quote that I put on my latest canvas! Thanks Jill, I totally loved this quote ..
"What is really hard, and really amazing, is giving up on being perfect and beginning the work of becoming yourself." -Anna Quindlen
Wow this canvas is amazing! Would love to one day create one let alone 3... :)

Thanks for your comments ladies :) Henrietta, the bird was a stamp I had. The girl is cut out of patterned papers and glued right on there. The tree trunk and branches were cut out of pages from an old dictionary. There are lots of stamps and rub-ons over the top of everything to give it some texture. Also used a black pen to outline things to make them stand out.

I really love it too and how do you do that!? Have you drawn little cute lady bird and the text have you written those or cut from somewhere!? You are so good, I wish I could do something like that:)

Love the canvas! The colors are beautiful. "the letting go of doing everything to a perfect plan or instructions"...I so admire how you were able to apply this to a creative project and will be displaying them. You inspire me.
Glad you liked the quote. It's one of my favorites and a great reminder when I get frustrated with myself.
